Facebook announced about the decisions to reverse the cryptocurrency ban from their platform.
Earlier this year, Facebook decided to ban all cryptocurrency related ads, there was no difference for them if the page was small or big, no crypto advertisement of any kind. soon to follow were google, twitter, Linkedin, Outbrain and the entire online advertising field seemed like its distancing itself from the crypto field.
About the ban policy, Facebook Bussiness writes:
In the last few months, we’ve looked at the best way to refine this policy — to allow some ads while also working to ensure that they’re safe. So starting June 26, we’ll be updating our policy to allow ads that promote cryptocurrency and related content from pre-approved advertisers. But we’ll continue to prohibit ads that promote binary options and initial coin offerings.
However, cryptocurrency-related services and businesses, such as exchanges, will now be allowed to run ads.
While no other major company followed this announcement, this might create a small wave in the cryptocurrency price, and if others will follow, this might push the price back up.
